Materials Procurement

Hello, my name is Trey Lewis and I am currently a freshman at North Carolina State University and am majoring in Paper Science and Engineering. I am from Nashville, North Carolina, but I grew up in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, which happened to have a paper mill. This partially sparked my interest in paper science, alongside my desire to lessen the amount of trees needed to meet our paper needs.
Building this fabric bucket will be my first experience with textile engineering, and my first ‘major’ project where I will be applying real-life engineering techniques on a “long-term” project. I am excited to finally gain some hands-on experience working with actual engineering problems. Although a fabric bucket does not exactly pertain to my particular major, I’m sure that I will gain a lot from this experience that I will carry on throughout my engineering career.
