This brainstorming session was our first meeting. First, we tried to figure out what resources we could use to create our bucket, like the media center or the makerspace in D.H. Hill. The makerspace has sewing machines that we can use, but we needed to go to the orientation first in order to use the space. Furthermore, we came up with our team name of the "Buckaneers".
We decided that we did not need to have the follow the traditional shape and structure of a bucket, as long as it was structurally sound and could support at least a gallon of water. The design would also have to make the adding and removal of water efficient and highly functional. However, this structure needed to be collapsible. We looked to other items like a backpack for strap attachment ideas and a collapsible fabric cooler for structural reference. Ideally, our bucket could feature a logo design and pockets for storage.
Our first idea was a pyramid shaped bucket with pipes that fit inside of each (and therefore compressible). This pyramid would also fold into itself. We thought of the pyramid shape because the triangle is the strongest structural shape.

Our second idea was a bucket with a base shaped like a octagon or hexagon; this idea would feature thicker bindings of fabric on the outside that would run diagonally to provide structure.

Our third idea was a inner tube styled "bucket" that the consumer would wear as a sash across their body.

Our fourth and final idea was a spring cylinder with double lining to help with waterproofing and featured a velcro attached lid.
