1.What should be the probable design?

As a part of our research, we began with the design of the bucket. We brainstormed about probable designs with an aim of making a strong compressible bucket. Initial designs consisted of a solid metallic structural support.

2. Which fabric would be ideal?

After attending the Fabric Bucket Information Session, we shortlisted some fabrics which were strong, durable and light-weight. We considered natural as well as synthetic fibers such as canvas, nylon and polyester.

3.How to waterproof the fabric?

Waterproofing a fabric was a big challenge. We came up with some laminates which worked differently and had different properties; namely – natural rubber (liquid latex), beeswax and Teflon spray.
