Team Contract and Project Schedule

Team Members’ Names/Roles:

  • Tanvi Thummar: modeler

  • Past experience: knows how to sew, basic HTML web page design skills

  • Corrine Morales: materials procurement (I have a bathtub for testing prototypes)

  • Past experience: Sewing and fabric work in Home and Careers in middle school. I did crafts as a kid. I made a website in my middle school technology class.

  • Josiah Johnson: Designer, Lead Contact for EA/Instructor

  • Past experience: Some experience in sewing for projects

  • Trey Lewis: Website Designer

  • Past experience: Made a website in middle school

Mission Statement & Team Goals:

  • Design a bucket that holds the largest amount of water while still being lightweight and collapsible that will maintain or, at best, improve the quality of water that is collected.

  • Hope to gain hands on experience with the engineering design process and be able to proudly put this on our resumes

  • Understand fully how engineering improves the quality of people’s lives on a daily basis

Guiding Principles:

  • Organize meetings through GroupMe

  • Meet at least once a week (either in person or a Google Doc session)

  • Make at least three prototypes

  • Attendance: One grace absence

  • Second absence will result in cookies for all members (or some other pastries)

  • Add any relevant patents or journals to Google Drive

Timeline:

  • Attend Help/Info. on October 12

  • Finish research/brainstorming by October 15th

  • Finish material procurement by October 22nd

  • Finish prototyping by October 29th

  • Finish testing by November 5th

  • Finish final product by November 12th

  • Leaving time for adjusting mistakes
